Ruth Gechemba Nyakundi is a Kenyan international artist. She started exhibiting her work

during the 1980s at the age of 16years.

Ruth’s culture has influenced a lot of what she does. Her arts birthed out of traditions from her

heritage. It is the essence of borrowing from the ancestors but recreating it and presenting it to

the world. She lives by the mantra that life is not about finding yourself but recreating oneself.

As long as she has breath , she has a purpose and only prays for guidance. The strength in her

essence is a gift to the world.

The international venues she has exhibited include; Amazwi gallery in Michigan USA, East

meets West in Mumbai India, Private collections in Japan just to mention a few major

exhibitions abroad. Ruth Gechemba Nyakundi is still one of the most widely demanded artist

across the world.
